Making ink is an art that requires craftsmanship and care
Every wonder where all of that beautiful colour comes from when some printer spits out one of your designs? Well, this marvellous video takes us into the heart of an ink factory to show us first hand.
Set to Alfred Brendel’s lyrical Piano Concerto No.5 in E flat major, it shows the process from top to bottom.
It’s long (but very interesting)
Enjoy:
As someone who has spent the better part of his career working with printers, I never had a full grasp of the craftsmanship that goes into printed colour. We take it for granted.
In such an automated world, it’s interesting to see that there is still a human touch required. Very interesting and visually stimulating.
