Looking back on a year like no other
Vectorvault was re-established this year with a new look and new enthusiasm for vector art. If you are familiar with the benefits of vector design, then you already know it touches everything from animation, typesetting, packaging, graphic design and beyond.
We knew this back in 2005 when we started this project. Our self-imposed mission has always been to find the very best examples of vector art and catalogue it. But more importantly to showcase the creative people behind the work.
In no particular order, here as some of the posts that have stood out for us this year:
Cataloguing Creativity
In the past 15 years, we have written over 1300+ detailed posts on the subject of Vector Art. Along with some content that seems to have little to do with it at all. That’s on purpose, because designers and illustrators have varied interests that generate inspiration. We’re different than other websites by design.
Forge ahead
In spite of the challenging year that we have all been through, it’s important to conjure optimism. Put one foot in front of the other. Then repeat. Make something. Share something. Like something.
We have your back
We know how difficult it is to make a living in illustration and design. We’re rooting for you to succeed at it. We provide helpful tools and tutorials to give you an advantage and help you to improve. Check in on us. We’ll check in on you.
Go get ’em
Be generous with your knowledge. Look for ways to help others out. You’ll find that the ones who survive the year ahead best, are the ones that look out for other people. If you see someone who is doing great digital work, don’t keep it to yourself. Let us know about it.
If you see someone who needs help, give it to them or help them to find it.
Love the detailed touches you put in your work!!!!!
Your passion is evident!!
