Custom workbook for those who design for retail
Designing displays is a specialized profession. Each of the pages in this compact book was designed thoughtfully with some of the finer details taken into consideration.
Since I was 19, OMAR has been one of my favourite artists. So you can imagine my thrill when I was approached to brand his first Canadian concert in over a decade.
Years ago, I sent him a piece of art. In return, he sent me a cd which he signed:
"From one artist to another". Funny how things come full circle sometimes.
I decided to go with an illustrated appproach and marry it with some clean typesetting.

THE REWARD
It was such an honour to work with this team and to meet one of my favourite artists. This project came along at a time where I did not know just how much I needed it to. And like the ones that followed, I was made to feel respected and part of something important. The most cherished byproducts from this experience are the friendships forged from the production and execution of it. Life-changing concert for me. I felt like I beat the high score.
ART SHOW
Another one of the highlights for me was an invitation to contribute 2 pieces to an art show inspired by the music of OMAR. This night was a separate experience that was really special to me and my wife (who helps me run our business). You can read all about it here. - What a night!
