My sister and I grew up in Mississauga. She manages the Food Bank there. This project was a great opportunity for us to work together.

Fresh food. Fresh Environment.

It was also really satisfying to see the effect that this piece of custom art had on the environment and the people who make this non-profit work.

“We had a very loose idea of what we wanted.
We never expected how great it would turn out.
We’re all very happy with it. Great teamwork!”

iLive Radio asked me once again to illustrate and design a series of 6 posters for their much anticipated iLive Soulfest concert series in Toronto. This 2 day event is the first soul festival of it's kind in Canada.

I'm proud of the work. I'm also really inspired by the team who assembled this event and the performers who made it what it was: Amazing.

The main logo was designed to stand out.
A small Canadian Maple Leaf was added to anchor it.
The results are quite clear and legible.
The venue. 2 nights.

ART SHOWING

I was also asked to show all six pieces over a 2 day period at Revival. It gave me a chance to feel like an artist again. So much fun.

Everything was printed at Proprint on their INCA R40i then cut on their ESKO AXP24.

Hot off the presses:

One of the performers Zo! sent me this picture of his mom holding the print that he gave her when he got back from Toronto. This shot made my day.
Below is a custom piece of art that I created. It has several layers of printed plexiglass in a currogate frame. It also lights up. Read more about the piece here in this post I wrote about the original art show. It set the groundwork for this series.
PRESENTING ART

Anyone who knows me, knows that I am a life-long fan of the legendary OMAR. Last year, I was asked to create the poster for his first Canadian concert in 10 years. Along with that, I also participated in an art show themed on the music of OMAR.

This year, I presented "The Man" with a custom art print on stage. What a moment!
Blam! :
TEAMWORK

One of the things that I am most proud of with this project is the way that it was executed. iLive Radio has a very strong connection to it's community (both locally and internationally). Each person involved with this event's production, stepped up to make it the success that it was.

I could not help but to feel inspired by the experience.

Below are some of the original pencil sketches:
